The MISSION: WOLF Ambassador Wolf Program is an educational outreach program, designed to inform the public about wild wolf issues (such as the Mexican wolves in the Blue Range recovery area), problems with wolf hybrids, lessons learned from Yellowstone NP, the important role wolves play in a balanced ecosystem, wolf communication, and the current status of wolves in North America. |
| 2006 marked their 16th consecutive national journey to present the program, and their second year visiting schools in Arizona. Kent Weber, Mission: Wolf founder and director, has presented this program to more than 500,000 people. Program participants were provided with the powerful and moving experience of interacting with one or two ambassador wolves raised in captivity and rescued by Mission: Wolf. NOTE: Kent, Tracy, and the ambassador wolves are taking a sabbatical to spend time at the Mission: Wolf sanctuary and write about their amazing experiences with people and wolves around the United States. |
